Fellow gamers, I have some very sad news to share.
Rob Henriquez, the driving force behind PrinTerrain, passed away suddenly of cardiac arrest on November 1st.
I’m sorry I didn’t share this news sooner. Every time I sat down to write this email; I just couldn’t do it. It was too hard, too painful to type the words.
Rob is survived by me, his wife Sherri, our blended family of 5 kids, 7 grandchildren, his parents, two siblings, a niece, a very large extended family, and our dog Peanut.
He was the love of my life, my partner in crime, my better half, and I miss him every day.
That’s why you haven’t seen any posts from us in your feed for a while.
And why, if you’ve visited our Shopify store or our Etsy shop, you’ve seen they’re both “On Vacation”, so you haven’t been able to order anything.
I’m sorry it took me so long to post this. It’s been really hard.
GameMats and PrinTerrain were Rob’s passion, and became his full-time job. He absolutely loved doing it because he knew it meant you had more fun playing your RPGs.
Rob was a gamer since he was 16, so he knew how much having the “right feel” to your table brought to any game and made it more exciting and enjoyable. Which is why GameMats and PrinTerrain came about to begin with.
The hardest part about all of this is decisions I’ve had to make now that Rob is gone.
One of those decisions is that I’ve decided to sell PrinTerrain to the folks at Every Little War. I work full-time and don’t have the time or energy to keep it going on my own.
It makes me very sad to let this business go, because it was such a wonderful part of our lives, but I want what Rob built to live on and grow in the capable hands of people who love gaming just as much as he did.
I promise I’ll keep you up to date on what’s happening and let you know when this transfer happens.
Meanwhile, please raise a glass and toast to Rob at your next game. I know he’d appreciate it.
